Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya

*A great sage* Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya was an Indian philosopher. He advocated the philosophy of Advaita Vedanta which was spread far and wide.  *Shankara* as He was known as a child was considered to be the reincarnation of Lord Shiva himself, who was born in the first half of the 8th century. Born into a poor Brahmin Family at Kaladi, present day Kerala, India. Shankara was bought up by his mother as it is said that he lost His father at the age of seven.  *Adi Shankaracharya* Each and every breath was devoted for the good of mankind. 

*Adi Shankaracharya* Each and every breath was devoted for the good of mankind.  At the age of seven he had completed his studies.  At the age of eight he had completed all that he had to write.  He wrote hymns, commentaries on Upanishads, Bhagwad Gita and the Brahmasutras. He completed all social work by the age of sixteen.  At the age of thirty two, Adi Shankaracharya retired to the Himalayas and is believed to have entered a cave near Kedarnath. He was never seen again and the cave that he entered is considered as his final resting place.
